The problem occurs because according to Windows, the audio output device is configured to be on 7.1 audio channels (regardless of your settings in your 3rd party software), rather than the Stereo that Halo Infinite is expecting. I have a different setup from what others in this thread have mentioned (I have a Yeti X microphone and my analog headphones are plugged into its 3.5mm output, all configured through Logitech G Hub), but I think the root issue is the same. I found a temporary solution that worked for me. So it does appear to be a very specific issue with specific headphones. SECOND EDIT: I found an old pair of HyperX clouds and plugged them in. Strongly suggest anyone who has this issue submit a bug report HERE: īe thorough with describing your setup and exactly what the problem is in the ticket. Sounds coming from behind my head are just non existent and you can barely hear anything that isn't in your direct FOV. It appears to be an issue with Dolby and surround sound of some sort. Tried different EQ's but still the problem persists.ĮDIT: Still having the same issue when the Multiplayer Beta released this week. On the stream, they sounded just as loud as normal.ĭoes anyone else experience this? What is the fix for this audio headphone issue? In my headphones the bullets couldn't be heard when they were behind me. (My stream takes direct sound from the game and from the desktop audio). Now I streamed this and listened back on the stream, and it sounds TOTALLY different on the stream than it did in my headphones. Someone shooting a gun right behind me does not sound like he is there. Bullets that are hitting me are barely heard. All of the sounds feel muddled and far away. When I turn around, I can not hear anything properly.
